The Pioneer Woman’s Dog

Guess who’s more famous now?  Ree Drummond, blogger at The Pioneer Woman, released a new book, this time for the younger audience, titled “Charlie the Ranch Dog,” a “children’s book about Charlie, my malodorous, belligerent, highly lethargic and sweet Basset Hound,” she writes on her blog.  The children’s book was in development even before her cookbook was launched by Harper Collins.  It tells the story of Charlie, a Basset Hound who mentors another dog, Suzie, about life on…a ranch!  But mostly he eats bacon.  Sounds like a good life to me.  The book was released in early May with a story by Ree Drummond and illustrations by Diane Degroat.
