Blogging gatekeeper site Technorati is putting together its annual State of the Blogosphere survey, and invites all bloggers to fill it out to assess the state of blogging in 2011. An invitation email said:
Every year, you help us make State of the Blogosphere the most comprehensive resource for bloggers, and about bloggers. The 2011 survey is live, and your input is critical.
Results from the survey, which covers annual income, social media habits, sponsorship and disclosure practices, and pretty much every other topic that affects bloggers, will be share at BlogWorld & New Media Expo in Los Angeles on Friday, November 4th. Results will be published on technorati.com on November 7.

What incentive is there to fill out this survey? Is the information all going to become public?
The incentive is just to contribute to the public’s understanding of blogging as an industry. For me, that’s compelling enough to spend 15 minute answering multiple choice questions! Your mileage may vary.
