Paul Frank Apologizes + Disciplines Tweeter

paul frank breastfeeding paulfrank_la tweet

Paul Frank’s Twitter account apologized for the tweet that an employee sent out that said: “Having your whole boob out and breastfeeding in our store #NOTOKAYATALL.”

Senior VP of Paul Frank Industries’ PR firm sent an email to The OC Register that said:

“We sincerely apologize for the misguided comments of one employee. Paul Frank Industries is a family company and brand and this does not reflect our opinion in any way. The employee has been disciplined because the store’s twitter account is used to promote products and special offers and is not a place to express personal opinions.”

We still think it’d be funny if they created a nursing cover.

UPDATE: The official blog has a very thoughtful apology as well as this great piece from an employee

Perfect response. I love Paul Frank and I’m glad to hear that wasn’t a company POV.

And love the nursing cover idea. Probably better than nipple shields with the monkey printed over top.
