This is the final week for No Time For Flashcard’s (NTFF) summer reading challenge! There’s a $50 Amazon gift card up for grabs, but Alli, the engaging creator and educator behind NTFF hopes the real motivation behind participation is a love for reading.
Alli set a goal of 25,000 books read and just yesterday that goal was surpassed!
“As of this morning we’ve read 25806 books and that doesn’t include all the books I have read with my kids and my daughter’s obsession with Brown Bear Brown Bear alone would probably take us to 30k!…
…Now if you just stumbled upon this you aren’t too late – you have until August 26th to join in the fun . This post explains how to join our summer reading challenge . Our goal is to remember to read with our kids and encourage our kids to read during the busy summer months.”
No Time For Flashcards has become known in the blogging community as one of the best go-to places for educational inspiration. Alli provides unique, creative and simple ways to engage your children in education at home. In the summer, every parent recognizes that we intend to spend quality time reading with our children and end up busier than ever. Alli’s response to that conundrum is the summer reading challenge, asking her community (all are welcome!) to enter their weekly total of books read on a simple form at NTFF.
Congratulations, Alli and the NTFF community!
Thousands of books were read this summer because of one woman’s passion and because of all of the people who felt inspired and made reading a priority this summer…
“Sometimes as a blogger it’s hard to see your impact, but this challenge every year renews me and reminds me that I can make a difference with the help of my readers.” – Alli
