Cooper says:
“The Web, Emily and I both agree, was custom built for women and the way women communicate, and the way we take action together. The way we have fun together and the way we talk and share stories.”
Emily says:
“Out in the blogosphere are all these stars in the making because they have a voice, they have great writing, they tell a story, they grab your heart and tell it like it is. Part of what we’re up to is have all these great, shining bloggers rise up and be seen as such.”
The topics include:
The changes they’ve seen in the mom blogging world since they launched in 2003.
How Hurricane Katrina inspired them to relaunch their site.
The new world of brand-blogger relationships and the evolution of advertising.
Their take on the future of reviews and giveaways.
The need for bloggers to retain their authenticity when working with companies.
Esther is the founder of She Posts and cofounder of GLMPS, a soon-to-launch photo+video app for iOS. She's also a Weight Watchers spokeswoman and is featured in their 2011 commercial campaign. She's been blogging on her personal site since 2004 and is a proud mom of two - a boy from her belly and a girl from foster adoption.
Excellent podcast! Emily and Cooper do an amazing job with TheMotherhood. I didn’t know the history of how they got together and started so this was really interesting. Their answers to how mom bloggers are viewed was very insightful as well.
