Leading content resource site About.com announced on January 13 that nominations are now open for its 4th Annual Reader’s Choice Awards.

The awards will encompass 12 topic areas, including Family Computing.
Readers can nominate their favorites in a variety of computing categories, including Best Virtual World for Kids, Best App for Kids, Best Website (by age group), Best Family-Friendly Video Game, and Best Internet Safety Tool.
There are also 4 blog categories included in the awards: Laugh-Out-Loud Parenting Blog, Sanity Saver Parenting Blog, Live and Learn Parenting Blog, and Hey, Good Lookin’ Parenting Blog.
Nominations will be taken until February 4, when About.com will select up to 5 finalists in each of the twelve Family Computing categories. Voting on the finalists will run from February 11 to March 8, with winners announced on March 15.
What are the prizes? As Christy Matte, About.com Family Computing Guide notes on her blog,
“There’s no prize — just the bragging rights that come with knowing that the readers of one of the Web’s largest networks love your stuff.”
