GOOD READ: Where Are the Women at SxSW?

Turns out, they’re getting their nails done. I got a chance to stop by Tara Hunt’s BeautyBarX and found a bevy of influential entrepreneurial women in tech sipping mimosas, networking like the mad women they are and, as soon as a chair became free, sitting down for a manicure. And I say that in the most complimentary, these-women-make-the-world-awesome sort of way. Check it out:

    I’m just packing my bags and unplugging the laptop to head out from SXSW right now. And I just want to mention, that while there were a good 50 or so women milling around Beauty Bar for the mobile women panel that I attended there were tens of thousands at panels and networking events on tech, marketing, social good, coding, entrepreneurship, and politics.

    I love me a pedicure! But I hope that the takeaway isn’t that the professional women at the conference were hiding in a salon all weekend.
