This past weekend was what Sheila Dowd has dubbed the PioneerPalooza.
She was there to host “A Night Out/A Day In”, the first in a 5 part Putting It Together fashion video series sponsored by Macy’s.
BlogHer didn’t mess around – they brought out a hair stylist and celebrity make-up artist. Erin Kotecki Vest and BlogHer CEO Lisa Stone were also on hand for the shoot.
Putting It Together
Each video will have special guests and a different host including Susan Wagner of Friday Playdate, Holly Burns of Nothing But Bonfires, Rhoda of Southern Hospitality, Ree Drummond, and Sheila Dowd of Xiaolin Mama – who hosted the first episode where Loralee of Loralee’s Looney Tunes was the featured guest.
Susan says:
“The series will look at everything from shopping your closet to decorating your home. Each video will feature a couple of your favorite bloggers offering tips and tricks on — well, on putting it all together: your house, your closet, your life.”
About the first video, Loralee says:
“[We] talked about what we “really” wear in the day, what we do when we actually need to be seen in public and then what we wear for a night out… We also talked (and named the blogs of) tips and tricks from commenters who joined in about the topic.”
Here’s a set of photos taken by Loralee:
We know that not long ago Ree signed a special contract with BlogHer and it looks like part of that may have been to be part of launching this new video series.
The first video is set to go live in a week or so. Of course when we have more details we’ll share them.
