Nearly twenty women bloggers were invited to watch Broadway shows on Wednesday, August 4 by New York City’s Art & Commerce Department and The Shubert Group. Tickets were provided to Promises, Promises, Fela!, and the classic West Side Story.
Kristen Howerton of Rage Against The Minivan worked to secure the seats and connected with women who had expressed an interest in theatre. Linda Perry of Peachhead had not seen a Broadway show in twenty years before seeing Promises, Promises. When discussing her upcoming trip several of her friends had insisted she see a show, so when the opportunity came up she jumped at the chance. “It was everything I was told it would be,” said Linda who was entertained by the mix of music, comedy and drama.
She was so impressed that she’s already making plans to see Billy Elliot before she returns home to Los Angeles.
